Health & Safety

Trescray have an exemplary Health & Safety record with only two reportable incidents in over 30 years. Trescray continuously receive awards for our Health & Safety awareness and this can be best demonstrated with our award for 7 million safe working hours as part of the Connect project for London Underground.

Trescray won the award from Fluor, the company with overall responsibility for building Connect. The award recognises that the Connect team has completed Seven million man-hours of work without a single recordable or lost-time incident.

Accepting the award for Trescray, Gavro Skrlec said: “safe working can only be achieved by rigorous adherence to standards and good communication. We are very happy to be part of a team which has worked so well together.”

Like all contractors on the Connect project, Trescray personnel took part in regular “toolbox talks” designed to address safety issues and to learn from on-the-job incidents.

Our staff are first aid trained with all site staff approved through the CSCS scheme. A Health & Safety plan is prepared on a site-by-site basis along with detailed risk assessments and method statements, which are at the core of our working practices. This is enforced, implemented and continually improved by our in-house Health & Safety manager.
